Im stuck between like 3 basses im thinking about dropping a j retro into it no matter what it is
http://www.rondomusic.net/sjb6241.html
the low budget one in lake placid $129.99

http://www.rondomusic.net/photos/bass/sjb6241tblue1a.jpg

http://www.rondomusic.net/sjb75c41ash.html
the higher price but maple neck and covers and what not $179.99

http://www.rondomusic.net/photos/bass/sjb75l413ts1.jpg

http://www.rondomusic.net/vjb62ct.html
covered pups in green or white classic looking $139.99

http://www.rondomusic.net/photos/bass/sjb62cvgn1.jpg

+ $299 for the J retro
I know the pre amp is more then the basses but I want to put it into a bass and I cant see buying a 500 dollar bass and dropping another 300 into it
also if it plays anything like my old bass from them its gonna be awesome enough for my tastes to gig with Ive already got the nice amp which you all should know.

true that! but I still have a soft spot in my heart for lake placid blue (story behind why sorry) my grandma was helping me look for basses and both our eyes fell on this blue bass and she said it was the best color shes ever seen and it was a lake placid blue jazz 5 and I thought so too and then she passed away after that so ive always had that spot in my heart one of the treasured memories you know.

If it were me, I'd get one and make a fretless and one to keep fretted.

OOH...

ME LIKE THE SX 4 STRING BASS!

I can afford it right now too... I'm very VERY close to buying it instead of a new amp... This is SO hard.............................................. ......

I really like that four string that that guy just showed us...

I REALLY like it...

I'm actually thinking about using my new amp money for that bass...

Would it be a big step up from my Squier???

Would it be a big step up from my Squier???

I'd like to know that too, I have a squier P and I want to go J... but I havent seen any good mexican fender j's around my area, so i guess i'll have to go a different brand.

Anyone able to write a review on these basses by any chance, please?

"Actual weight is only 11lbs"

Errm, isn't that stupidly heavy for a 4 string?!

Scott01

Yea definately the 2nd one, is it available in 4 string? The green one has ugly coloured natural finish on the headstock (and I assume its the same colour on the neck all the way down).

no one wants a wish bass they are horrible.

and im deciding alot more towards the first one because ive never been one for a sunburst bass (I dunno) and the black bars are starting to annoy me for some reason and I cant see spending the extra money for it just because it has trays that ill end up taking off and having empty screw holes in my bass.
