So i was wondering about bagpipes as the title suggests. A few questions:

1) how much would beginner bagpipes be?

2)what is the diffrence between the diffrent types of bagpipes?

3)are lesson completely necessary?(i know they would help)

4)what is the learning curve?

Any info would be great. Online they have bagpipes for a little under 200, would these be good. i live in america(Maryland- baltimore washington area) so finding bagpipes in stores may be a little hard.
Thanks:thumb:

edit: if a mod could delete this. some how i missed the bagpipe thread...ill post this there. post your answers there too. sorry

I've played some English pipes before they're great fun, very expensive. You have to blow into the pipe that fills up your air bag, holding the bag under your arm you squeeze it which starts the drone (usally in D or G) then you take the pipe with holes in in your hands and play it like the fingering of a penny whistle.
You need to keep blow ing air into the bag you keep it going- multi tasking and all that jazz

You should start by not buying bagpipes.
