So, I was reminiscin' of the old days of Windows 95, and remembered the originol Civilization game. Then the game got 3-d and queer. So, does anyone know if the originol game is up for download or something? I've been hankering for some civilization of late, old school style.

Civ III was the best for me. I hated the original ones.

The Call to power series wasn't that bad, it just wasn't civ though :mad:

Civ 4 is just a better version of 3

No, 4 is a better version of 2. 3 was a dissapointment. A dissapointment that ate up very large chunks of my time, but a dissapointment anyway.

And a simple google search would have turned up a number of places to download civ 1.

Best games ever made.

Civ 2, Civ 3, Civ 4, SMAC, we got them all. I had loads of fun with Civ 2 back during grade school, I'd make MODs and scenarios like crazy.

Civ 3 was kinda fun, i played a few complete games. Civ 4 is the best, but has some elements that i preferred in Civ 3.

However, SMAC (Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, the unofficial sequal to Civ 2) is by far the best game. I've been on a binge recently, staying up late in the morning suffering from 1 more turn syndrome. God damn, its great!
