"The Battalion of Saints were one of the more legendary bands of San Diegos' early hardcore punk scene. Their songs were nonstop blasts of adrenaline and raw power. The Batts were one of the most furious and nihilistic bands in all of Southern California in the early to mid 80's, leading to the deaths of many of the original members. The original band broke up in 1985. The mainstay of the band is the singer, George Anthony. In 1995, George reformed the band with his friend Terry Bones (Discharge, Broken Bones, U.K. Subs). They put out a few records and toured through the late 90's.

In 2002 Battalion of Saints reformed, the current line-up includes San Diego veterans Matt Anderson (Heroin) on Bass, Scott Bartoloni (Heroin, Clikitat Ikatowi) on guitar, Steve Gearhardt "Gearbox" (Total Chaos) on drums, and enlisting old friend and partner in crime Londis Kues "TK" (Crucified Youth, TOF) on Guitar. The original Battalion of Saints lineup put out the "Fighting Boys" 12" ep, and the "Second Coming" LP, plus numerous compilation tracks. Most of this material has been re-released on the "Death-R-Us" CD available on Taang! Records. The line-up with Terry Bones put out one ep and the "Cuts" CD also available on Taang! Records."

They're good if you're into basic hardcore punk. Which I am. I like it.

Sorry, been out of town, but I'm back now.

And yes, they're probably one of my favorite bands. During Chaos in Tejas, they almost ripped off my BoS backpatch. I wish I could've seen 'em back in the day. I'm not sure who they're playing with, member-wise, so I don't know how good a show they'd put on. I'm sure they still rule, though.

**** yes, they were totally ripshits! They played 3 times in the weekend. haha, it ruled. The first night was covers and some originals, and they played twice the last night. One being their own set, the other being covers and originals. They covered Black Flag, Poison Idea, Integrity, the Germs and some others. It ruled. The whole weekend was just amazing.:thumb:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I love them.

Beefmaster is the song that will get you hooked.
Amazingly good band.
I'll be headed up to Corona this weekend to catch them at the showcase.
It's worth it.
Well it better be!

Not as great as I thought. I had my hopes WAY up. Maybe it was just the crowd, it felt like me and ten other guys knew who they were. But they still kicked major arse. I stole their setlist at the end of the show and they crossed off "E-B"! I was devistated...
