New acoustic song- I Can't Move On

So it's something a little different to my usual style, I would appreciate a few comments :)

the vocals scared me when they came in..
(not being mean..just didn't expect it)

not sure about the strong effect on that vocal as soon as it enters..
when it goes away..i feel better about it.

but hey, you're the artist...im sure you were trying to do something there..not sure what it was...but yeah....(IMO lost that effect at the first vocal entrance).

other than that...(its still playing)...the guitar is a simple line but thats fine to support the vocals...im just running thru it for the first time..so just listening to the overall feel..nto paying attention that much to the vocals but it sounds good...

some clipping sometimes..just check the levels on your mic...
i mean..yeah..its good...you can totally go to an open mic and play this.

the good thing about your song is that your voice is all natural. Keep it that way, don't let the studios or the big artists influence you otherwise!

Yeah I was experimenting with the beginning- think I might re record it without the effect, most people have said they'd prefer it without. Guitar is simple because I'm really not that creative or good. Might think of something else to add to give it more substance but I literally recorded that the morning I wrote it. Thanks for the input, very useful :thumb:

I'm not sure what my range is, but I can just get the notes on Bon Jovi's 'Livin' on a prayer'... not when it changes key though. Also my speaking voice is a lot lower than your average girl.

There's a version I've done with new vocals... a bit quiet maybe but I took away the effect.

It's an old electro acoustic. I put some new strings on so it sounds nice :) Except I dropped it and broke a string yesterday. I normally record with m 12 string but I couldn't be bothered :p

Ha yeah that with my delightfully out of tune piano.
