Halo 1?

Does anyone here still play Halo 1 online? I do, I love it. If you do, discuss fav gun, map, etc. etc. And lets see some halo usernames while we're at it.

The pistol in Halo 1 was great.

Yeah the pistol was amazing, you start with a quick firing mini sniper gun. Youd see people running around to get rocket launchers and crap and id take them out with some well placed shots. haha.

But online Halo 2 > Halo.

I like the pistol for Halo 2 more. Especially when you dual wield them.

Naaa the pistol in Halo was good as you could zoom in with it. Then when you couldn't in Halo 2 it just sucked. Have gun is the Sniper Rifle, fave map is Blood Gulch (sp?) followed by sidewinder.

The problem with the pistol in Halo 1 is that once you learned to use it it was arguably the most powerful weapon. Actually, wait that isn't a problem as it means the game involves skill.

I prefer Halo 1's campaign.

Halo1>Halo 2

I hated the absense of fall damage. I was pissed off when I played it for the first time. Day it came out, huge Sytem link party, I boarded a banshee, and the guy I knocked out didn't die.

IMO, if Halo 3 brings back fall damage, I'll love it. And a better campaign.

The pistol in the original was great, but I think that overall Halo 2's weapons are more balanced. The battle rifle kinda replaced the pistol anyways, although it wasn't as devastating.

I think Halo 2 is a definite improvement over Halo 1. People got upset because they changed a lot of things from the original, but if you get past all that the game feels a lot more solid and even more of blast to play. I have X-Box LAN parties with my friends all the time, and it's rare that we ever break out Halo 1. The only things I do wish Halo 2 had kept from the original were the fun racing multiplayer games and some of the levels (Hang em' High notably).

I used to, not so much anymore since now I mainly play madden online. I used to be awesome with the sniper rifle at close range and no scope.

I played it out of boredom a few times, the pistol was the only gun you really needed.
