hey everyone, I am in the market for a keyboard and I have about 2500 to spend.. I need something with 88 keys and weighted action.. I am mostly concerned with the piano/symphony/orchestra sounding realistic and lots of choices for voices.. i also would like to be able to upgrade voices in the future if i happen to need something i dont have as a preset. I will be playing symphonic metal and classical music, and will also be using it for a normal piano for my ongoing lesons... I really like the feel of the roland fantom x8 that is out right now, and the yamaha motif feels almost as good but I couldnt quite figure out how to listen to all of its voices so I am not sure which is better... any other suggestions that I may have passed up? what is the order from best to worst as far as voice realism in the roland fantom/yamaha motif/and korg triton? thanks everyone!

6 of the 17 keyboards I have owned (2 of the 6 I have now) are Rolands. I've always been a fan of the user-friendliness and the piano patches. However, my next board will likely be the Motif ES7. I believe the fantom has more sampling notes available, but what it comes down to is: which board do you feel the most comfortable navigating through and which action feels best to you? Although classically trained, I have preferred the Roland synth action the most in the past, but the Motif feels good to me, too. Not so much the Korgs and Kawais and older Yamahas. As long as you don't choose a new board that relies on floppy memory (it will bite you (and your backups) someday). The Motif has a USB out that could be pretty cool with Cubase or ???
