Yeah, I went through the phase for a couple of months, trying to find out the newest 'the ..' bands and such, but its all got boring and tedious, i've moved on really, unless there is the odd good band that have a range of catchy, somewhat original songs.

That's not saying much.

Bands in the UK scene have always gotten boring because you guys are fags. This **** was old before it even started. You guys need to stop ripping off each other's ****ty songs and write something good for a change. It's been years since I've given a **** about anyone that's come from the UK and if it continues to go down this path it'll be another good decade before I ever care again.

^ Your right. Americans never rip off each others sh*tty songs. Perhaps you should type something that doesn't make you seem like a twelve year old?

What do you want me to do, say that you guys have done something good in the last ten years? No, I'm not going to do that. If it makes me sound 12 then I'll sound 12.

I never said anything about American bands not ripping each other off. The only difference between America and the UK is that the UK has not produced anything good in a long time, which is why I said what I said. It's truth. If you don't agree, well, you can go **** yourself.

Calm down. You're both acting like a couple of pissy children.

You seem to be a tad schizophrenic. Say whatever you want about a genre or a boom in Indie bands, but don't be a jackass to other people about it.

The Frames are good. They're from Ireland.

Anything from Ireland is good.

I personally don't like the whole wave of UK 'indie' that much.
Most of them sound too similar and Gang of Four-ish.

America's attempt at 'indie' was far worse. The Killers anyone?

Unless your talking 'indie' that isn't mainstream in the sense they are plugged by MTV/NME, then both countries have really decent bands that you should be concentrating on.

Brit Pop was one of the only things worth listening to in the mid 90's.

You should know by now that I never use "indie" to describe Brit. Pop and stuff like that. I am one of the few that still uses the term the right way. Everyone else is ****ing up.

I thought you were generalizing the UK's contribution to music in the last 12 years...

Yeah, I was doing that too.

Well yeah, Radiohead, Blur, Pulp, all great bands, but this new wave of brit pop is pretty bad.

What's the new wave of Brit Pop? Also the whole Shoegaze and Madchester scenes were good...

I would consider bands like The Arctic Monkeys and The Libertines to be the sort of post-2000 brit pop.

Oh ya, well they suck.

But The Clientele, who are my favourite band right now and are from the UK.

I think we all just need to realize that good new music is hard to find and that will continue until I cut a record. You may continue with the pointless banter.
