Repalcing machine heads.

Is it possible to replace your machine heads? Would it have to be done profesionally? Mine are really naf, they bend and don't keep in tune for long :angry: so they gotta be changed. Cheers.

Its pretty simple.


You take the strings off (duh), and you should be able to unscrew them from the back of the headstock. Many guitar tuners use one screw per, bass tuners use more.

The only problem is you have to get new tuners that fit in the holes (theres a few standard sizes, should be easy). Your best bet here would be to take it to a shop that sells hardware, and see which ones fit.
