Ok, so I had a virus and I got rid of most of the pop-ups but i still get these few that open new tabs on FireFox and it's quite annoying. Anyways, I was getting use to that since no SPYWARE programs seem to be able to rid of it. Then I get home from drumline practice today, turn on some SP and some random ad about fiber comes on. So I close all my programs and IT KEEPS PLAYING. WTF IS IT?????? It randomly ****ing plays. It's prob. the most annoying thing I've ever experienced.

Oh yeah, and if I wanted to zip up all my music (around 400 songs) from WMP and put on a disc, is that possible? How much can I fit on a disc (or a floppy?) and how do I do it. Because if I don't get rid of these damn viruses, I'm saving all my music and killing my comp. Like totally reseting it.

Thanks a WHOLE bunch,
Jimmy

Ctrl+Alt+Del and try to isolate the process that's running the sound. Then disable the program from starting with the computer.

As for the music, 400 songs can't be much more than a few Gb. You could most likely fit it all on a DVD-R, but I doubt you could fit it all on a CD-R. Maybe on 2 or 3.

Just find out how much space your music takes up. A CD-R can normally hold like 700Mb.

Hey, thanks for the help, bro.

I'm not sure how to find the program that's running the noise.

How do I get it all compresses though? Like when I burn a CD it only holds like 20 songs, so how do I compress it?

Sorry, I suck at teh c0mputers.

You need to make an mp3 cd, not an audio cd. There should be an option somewhere in whatever burning program you use.

mp3 cd = Only played in computers and stereos that support mp3 cds. You can fit a lot of songs on one. Limited by the amount of data you can fit on the cd (700Mb or 800Mb or whatever)

audio cd = Playable in pretty much any stereo. Sound files, not mp3s. You're limited by the time on the CD-R (76 mins. or 80 mins. or whatever) You can normally only fit ~20 songs on one.

As for finding the spyware process, you're sure that you have ABSOLUTELY all extra programs closed?

Yeah, an MP3 CD is like a data disc, whereas on a regular Audio CD, the files are converted to .CDA files.

I can't really tell what it might be, but why don't you post a screenshot of your system processes list, maybe it's something really obvious like spywarepopup.exe.
