Which one is better/best for what reasons?

I'd say Bug. It changes between that and You're Living All Over Me alot though. Those two are the best.

Just don't get Without a Sound.

YLAOM is generally the consensus favorite. It has more consistency and simply better songs. Bug has some more variety and a cleaner sound, and their self-titled is just a little underdeveloped. Their albums after Bug, when the band became basically a Mascis solo project, might have a little more initial appeal. I'm not sure what your backgorund in noisy music is.

I have W/o a Sound and Your Living, the latter is far superior.

It's hard to say for me, I like all of the original three albums alot. You're Living All Over Me is probably a good starting point though.
