Good or bad idea!

So im constantly trying to improve my playing in every way possible. So today i had an idea. If i would go to a store and buy a clamp so i could clamp my 13" on to my hihat stand. Would i twork and would it be a good idea? I have no idea yet how i would use the tom on my left but it would be better than just let it lay in a corner, right?

Depends on how sturdy your hihat stand is.

You might want to just try using a snare stand.

you could put it on your right either in front or behind the floor tom

itll work. ur hit hat stand should be strudy enough. r u settin it up like a portnoy kit above a piccolo or what?

Use a cheap snare stand, though it won't help your playing to have an extra tom.
A good player can play well on just kick, snare and hats.
