Today I bought:
Punk Rock is Your Friend no. 6
AMP - Street Punk
Amp - Psychobilly
Like most compilations, some songs are good, some aren't. Are there any really good comps out there? I got these cause they were fairly cheap, and te Street Punk one is pretty good, even tho a lot of it isn't street punk. Short Music for Short People is pretty good too. Just the fact it has 101 songs is awesome.

Comps are boring after you are already into a genre.

That's true sometimes. Every comp I get, I find a band I like that I've never heard before that I check out. I bought the psychobilly comp cause the only bands related to psychobilly I knew were the ones on hellcat. I like it, Los Creepers and Mad Sin are good bands...

I had just Los Creepers, but then added Mad Sin. Sry :upset:
Also, are there any decent tribute cds out there? Of the few I've seen, they seemed pretty shitty.

If you're looking for a psychobilly tribute check out the psychobilly tribute to the Stray Cats. It's called Go Cat Go!

The DK tributes are pretty interesting, especially the Virus 100 one.
There is a Rockabilly tribute to the Clash called This is Rockabilly Clash that is alright.

I bought a comp a few weeks ago called mixed punkrock tape... It was pretty good with bands like Big D, A wilhelm scream, suicide machines, against all authority, teenage bottlerocket, aquabats and Against me!
The good things about comps are: They are usualy cheap, and it's a good way to get to know new bands.
The bad things are: Often alot of the songs suck and you have to skip all the way trough the cd.

The Killed By Death comps. are actually quite interesting. It has alot of unkown and rare stuff by '77 - '82 punk bands.

the give em the boot comps are not bad. but the warpd tour ones 2004 and back are pretty good. it is a good thing to have around in order to get a taste of bands you would not here about too often.
