How much time do you guys spend with drumsticks in your hands?

Id have to say about half my day (excluding sleep)I spend with sticks in my hands. Either just doing mr freeze or rocking the stick back and forth to work the fulcrum.

I was wondering how long you guys, on average, play drums or play with your sticks.

I usually play about 1-3 hours a day(rudiments on hands and feet, drumset). Anytime im not playing but just sitting on the computer, like I am now, I always play with my sticks.

So lets here how long you guys put into drums!

A couple hours a day on weekdays but virtually NO practice on weekends as far as the kit goes.

I don't practice with my parents in the house, and I can only play from 9-9 anyway due to neighbors.

But as far as sticks go, if I feel like playing after 9 I drum on...well...my pillow. 'Cause thats all I have. No practice pad.

1 hour 4-5 times a week, or 1.5hrs 7 days a week, depends on my week. i have wrestling workouts at 5:30, and when im back my sis is in bed, so i cant really play much those days cuz i chill with friends til five. but every other week im at the other house and play like 1 in a sitting, then 30 min, then 15min., and so on.

Back on topic, maybe half an hour a day during the week. I'm lucky if I have the time/energy for an hour a day on weekends.

Hehe. Well, it depends on days if I get back late, having enough energy left/gigs etc. On a normal day, perhaps an hour. Somedays it might be for 10 minutes or even a couple of hours on or off the kit.

I normally play the practice pad for half an hour every 2 days or so ... and I'm on my set for about 15 minutes to an hour each day ....

1 hour on wednesdays tuesdays.
2 hours on mondays(possible tuesdays).
2.5 hours on thursdays.

7 hours a week on the kit, and about as much time as I spend at school simply drumming on my legs.

probobly 1-2 hours behind my pad-set, half of it working on stick control, the rest freestyling and practicing solo'ing. Then most of the time at school practicing mixing stick control (first page) excercised with feet/hands.

I usually sit watching tv drumming on my knees, as you can imagine my knees are purple with bruises which aren't painful but look bad. So I guess that may be 2 or 3 hours if i watch tv.

i play for about 1 1/2 hours on weekdays and nearly half the day at weekends (10:00am to bout 15:00) ok so it only 5 hrs but still thats 10hrs over the weekend. But when i'm not on my kit i'm always tapping, practicing heel-toe stuff and DP, usually sub-consciously.

Not always enough.

2-3 3h rehearsels per week and next to that I probably spend around 4-5 hours per week behind the kit and/or practice pad.

But it's not the time you spend, it's HOW you spend that time.
