If your going for a 14x12 i'd suggest against a 14x14. Go stight for 16x16 the 16x18 or 18x18.

Get the 18", the 14" won't really sound like a floor tom, more like a big rack tom...which they work excellently for, by the way.

To be honest I would have went with the 10"

More drums in front = easier playabilty

Yeah, a 16s pretty low anyway, I like having that high end tone also.

Exports are made of poplar, the Taye drum is made of "cross-laminated birch/basswood." Sounds like Taye would be better.

does anyone even know anything about that taye?

anyway, on the export, this bothered me

Exclusive split low mass lugs and etched badges
6-ply 7.5mm 100% poplar shells
I.S.S. tom mounting system
New lug design
Pearl exclusive color finish
ProTone heads

how do you ISS a floor tom..

Taye, just because I hate low end pearl. High end pearl isn't bad but I dislike the tom mounts, I suppose thats irrelevant here anyway.
