So I've recently bought Stick Control and Syncopation. I've been mainly working on the accents part of Syncopation, and I've nearly got the first page of Stick Control down so I can do them cleanly at a decent tempo. I noticed that you could 'mix' the two and make an accent pattern with a different sticking.

Just thought i'd get that idea out, and I want to know your thoughts/ideas on whether thats worth doing.

You can apply Stick Control end over end to the drumset, or any rythmic venture.

For instance, check out the singles excerise on my site (the 3,4's,5's etc one) and apply the sticking patterns outta the first few pages of Stick Control to it.

thats why those books pay for themselves. after the exercise, its a concept that you can rework endlessly ^_^
