Is there anyway possible to bring a drum kit to uni for the first year within halls in London (UK) as this year I shall be starting uni and I cannot imagine giving up my drums for a whole year until I get my own house for the 2nd year.

If there isn't does anyone know how to reduce the pain of not having a proper kit with you?

Im facing this exact problem. Im thinking 3 practise pads, 1 hi hat, 1 snare, one bass. Ill take my double kick there and just try and nail it down.

It ****ing sucks doesn't it? I love my drumming more than anything else, I'm not very good at it but the feeling of finaly cracking a beat that you couldn't play before is IMO the best feeling in the world (truely better than sex.).

I've been considering one of the DW practice kits but I really don't want to have to give up playing on a proper kit for a year.

Getting a DW one isnt giving up "proper playing". It just gives you the ability to practice even though you dont have a set.
