Covering the message

My current band wants to cover the great & awesome hip hop original "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five in a rock setting while very staying close the original

Would it be possible to play the bongo part with one hand? , so I can play the drum parts with my other 3 limbs?

To get the hip hop sounding snare would I use a maple snare with medium/low tension?

yes for the snare.

yes it is possible. Its like bongo as highat at some points so it shouldnt be hard.

yeah but sometimes the bongo part rolls under the hihat so I guess I use foot hi hat for that.
