I've been listening to these gusy for awhile. They're real good. Get tiring after awhile though. Most grind bands do for me though.

Meh, they're allright.

I love what they list as influences.

I'll probably be seeing this band this summer, they're ok from what I recall.

One thing I'm bored of (and I'm not sure if this band in particular does this but) is when the vocalist switches to lower screams, almost growls, in the breakdowns. Oh, and breakdowns in general that only involve an open C chord for more then 2 seconds.

/had to vent alittle.

I heard one of the members in this band got beat up at a Halloween show. He deserved it.

I saw them in January. Pretty spastic and whatnot. I really love the vocals in 8 Dead, 9 If You Count The Fetus, toward the end.

Im sorry, but wtf was that? I havent heard much Grindcore, but if that band reflects it good enough, then grindcore is ****ing ****ty as ****.
yeah, sweet breakdowns and talented screaming, but wtf that guitar work was a mess. Did anyone else download the powertab they posted?

Its just confusing

Some grindcore is real simple and boring guitar-wise, but some is amazingly technical and difficult. I highly doubt you could keep up with even half of any real good grindcore band. I'm talking about grindcore in general, not psuedo-grind whitebelt stuff like See You Next Tuesday.

I don't think I'd consider SYNT a real grind band, but they're pretty boss.

whiteminority
05-14-2006, 04:46 PM
Yeah SYNT is a tech metal band, like Ion Dissonance PsyOpus etc.

except not as good

Special Brew
05-14-2006, 04:59 PM
SYNT isn't really grind at all. It's just the knockoff stuff that's popular these days. I like it, but it's still not really grind. I don't know what else I'd call it though, but definitely not "tech metal". Putting tech on anything makes it sound gay, unless fueding robots are involved.

Dude, they are that tech crap that a lot of bands are trying to do now that not many can do.

And I agree that feuding robots kick ***.

I could see PsyOpus being called tech metal, but not really SYNT. I'd hate to call anything tech metal though.

What releases do SYNT have? The only one I've heard from start ro finish is This Was A Tragedy.

haha, When I first read about this band I instantly thought of a British guy that my friend and I hung out with one night who kept saying the C U Next Tuesday thing, no one over here had a clue what he meant.

I remember hearing them when I heard they were playing shows with The Dance Massacre. I think they do the whole style better than others.

I saw them in St. Albans, WV. They played with a bunch of "br00tal" bands from Ohio.
