I finally met someone who likes the same type of music as me(prog. rock with hints of metal/jazz) who also is an awesome guitarist, but he already has a bassist(his friend also:(). Another Guitarist friend of mine also might be starting a band...but yet again he has a bassist...

Then I know a bunch of people who play guitar but don't want a band, play punk/suck, or I hate( ).

So is there any hope for me?

Two bassists is a great idea. My last band I joined there was already a bassist, I was better, but they didn't wanna get rid of him. So I joined and he stayed. It was kind of like how bands have two guitarists, he did the rhythm and I did solos and such, it was actually kinda cool

Your friends dont have to only be in one band. Convince one of them to start another band with you as the bassist.
