not my thing, but still pretty cool. guitars are too thick in the mix. kinda overbearing, since at times i didn't even know if you stopped playing bass or were just quiet.

by the way, i like the fretless one. i'm not a fan of slap but that was a cool track.

but why aren't many people commenting on the music? and to sr800 we didn't even mix we got that recording from one microphone in the jam room. I'm a ****ing magician when it comes to ghettoing things.

It's spelled psychedelic...unless you did that on purpose...

Indeed on purpose. what did you think about the song???? or what not. Once again I know its out of time and **** just wondering if the overall idea had potential?

Big words from a 15 year old. Why are you dissing my playing? I was asking about the song itself besides you can't really hear me in the mix. About me ripping off claypool I know you won't believe me but I only very recently started listening to primus. I developed the style in which I play on my own by sitting in my room and screwing with my bass. Obviously I fail at life because my natural expression on my instrument sounds like someone else's natural expression on their instrument. what do you guys think of the song???? I'm suprised I'm not getting many responses perhaps I whore myself out to mx too much and no one wants the old tired prostitute anymore.:upset:

i think Mario vs The World could develop into a pretty cool song. although, there's certainly some timing issues that need to be worked out between the riffs interlocking, and sometimes the music seems to be off from the drums. of course, i think this will just come with more practice.

musically, i really like it, i think it has plenty of potential. the ending needs to be worked out, but you're aware of this; and i think some transitions need to be made that allow the song to progress more smoothly. all in all, it's cool, and i'd like to hear more.

by the way, i added you on both my profiles.;)

I like the mario song, but I think your improve uses the same chords as Shadow of the Sun -Audioslave. I think its the exact same progression too, actually.

Are you talking about Circus Jam of Doom? If so, it is a claypool ripoff totally :p I mean, there's a difference between being infleunced and copying :)

I'm 17.

Anyway, the song. I didn't really enjoy it tbh. Way too repetitive and it didn't feel very well arranged. A couple of good little licks here and there though but nothing good enough to record/play live unfortunately.

I don't think so its just root notes of a and c and then I do stuff in those scales underneath it. Realisticly it only has two notes.

How is circus jam a claypool rip off? The only blatant rip off is that fretless jam is basically a cover of the whamola solo's he does? Well guys thanks for the input When we get pictures of the jam space or record a better version of mario vs the world. I'll repost it or whatever. Its going to be pretty sick with vocals. It is kind of empty with out them but just keep in mind that this isn't and instrumental. If it was we would have filled it out more.

Also if you guys are in the salem mass area and you need a practice space. The place we play at in lynn is wicked nice. and if you come through me I get some price off my rent for next month.

i didnt like it. its not one of those things where i could sit and listen for very long. without trying to be mean it got boring quick. i dont really know what pushed me away from it, but i think maybe if you strayed a tad from the circus thing and only brought it out in certain parts of songs it would turn out pretty cool.
