Alright, so I'm planning on buying a Strat or strat-esque guitar with-in the next month. I really enjoy the tone of them, but I want more options. So I plan on keeping the pick-ups parellel and removing the 5 switch, but I either want an on/off switch for each pickup and a master tone and volume or, more preferably, a volume knob for each one and a master tone knob. If this one can't work, I'll go with the first idea. Here's a diagram of what I want to do...

My questions are...

1) What resistance would I need for the pots if I did the seperate vol.
2) Would there be an output problem with the pickups being in parrelle with the vol. knobs before they go parrellel

1) 250k is a good choice.
2) i don't really get what your trying to do.

1. 250k Log pots are the common option for use with single coils.
2. Shouldn't be any problems at all.

I could, but don't really want to.

Your first option is exactly how my guitar is wired. Does anyone else here absolutely hate the 5 way switch as much as I do?

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to go with an on/off and vol. pot for each pickup. Easy stuff.
