If any of you have heard any Incubus before ACLOTM, then you have heard Dirk Lance. Now, I don't play bass but when listening to Dirk play it sounds to me like he is very very skilled. I was just wondering, how does he stack up to other modern day bassists?

Very good for a mainstream bassist. I want to see him get into another band, but that being said I do not think that he would fit in with Incubus anymore. Ben fits the new Incubus perfectly. I like to think of the new Incubus compaired to the old Incubus as RATM is to audioslave. One member different, compleatly different band.

Dirk Lance isn't on ACLOTM. Ben Kenny is on that CD. Dirk Lance is on all previous incubus records though. And yes he is very skilled, especially if you can find Fungus Amongus, I really like his playing on that one.

Warwick streamer, I think. He also uses an all eden rig.

eh...sometimes he's too all over, and then sometimes when i feel there should be more he does to little, id always felt that way. I actually never liked too much old incubus stuff... im into the new stuff tho.
