For all my router work I use a router table. Otherwise I use a milling machine for cutting things like pickup pockets and trussrod slots. 18 inch bandsaw. Table saw. Sanding center, the biggest you can afford. Lots of hand tools and clamps :)

You don't need all the tools on stew mac. Some good power tools to start with are a bandsaw (14" is a good place to start, but the bigger the better), a router (most versitile tool you will use), a drill press.

Yeah bandsaw, drill press, router table, various clamps, setup tools, sanding stuff, maybe a decent spray setup.
You will need a good ventilated space as well, a damp garage won't do, you need to look after your tools.

not really. a real router has much more balls than a dremel, which doesnt really have enough for heavy work.

I do have:

-Band saw
-Table saw
-Drill press (with sanding attachments)
-Jointer
-Coping saw
-Files
-Rasps/spokeshaves/hand planers
-random orbital sander
-Plenty of workspace
-Router
-dremel
-belt sander
-hand-sanding supplies
-clamps

and should have:

-Routing table
