This could go in this forum or the indie forum, i'm not really sure, so i just put it here, since i know they've been a life-changing band for a lot of "punk" kids.

Anyway, they formed in San Diego a while back (early 1990s i believe) during the "next Seattle" years. They wrote some of the heaviest, mathiest, catchiest, noisiest punk ****ing rock i've ever heard in my life. The members of this band have been in other amazing bands like Hot Snakes and Rocket From the Crypt (both of these bands are nowhere near as intense as DLJ, but it gives you some idea of their sound).

Unfortunatly they only released 2 albums before they disbanded, but they're two of the most amazing cds i've ever heard in my life. Everyone should check out their self-titled cd and their second effort Yank Crime.

Talk about/ask questions about Drive Like Jehu.

What?

Anyway, Yank Crime is an amazing album, New Math is phenomenal. I wish i could've seen them or Hot Snakes live, their shows would've been so good.

I actually really do like Drive Like Jehu. Though I don't tend to listen to that type of music too much anymore, from what I remember they were great. I went through a whole Sunnyday Real Estate, Texas Is The Reason, Drive Like Jehu thing a few years back. I like DLJ the best. Yank Crime was a great album.

I think they only have two. Yank Crime is their big one, suggest checking it out first.

Not the right forum... but they are a good band, none-the-less.

They do only have two: Yank Crime is their second, released in 1994, but I think their Self-Titled is the best, which was released in 91.
