what's the best song to trip out to?

you know, that one song you just have to hear at least once when you're in that metaphysical sound-phoria stage.

When you've got that big-grin-on-your-face,-laying-down-on-your-bed-and-staring-at-the-ceiling kind of mood...

im trying to make the most mind-blowing playlist ever...

Tangerine Dream - Phaedra

And that should be the end of that.

Shpongle. Or David Gilmour's new solo album is good.

The jesu s/t album is great for zoning out and ****. I usually put that on when I'm in that kind of mood.

Shpongle - A New Way To Say Hooray

Good Lord that song is amazing when you're 'in the mindset' for it.

I would go with Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin.

Or, one of my own songs called Lights Out.

Shpongle - ...And The Day Turned To Night is the ultimate trip song. It's 20 minutes long and you can listen to it on repeat lots of times and it doesn't get boring. If you have a great sound system prepare yourself for the ride of your life.

Massive Attack - Group Four, excellent song to trip out to.

Portishead - Wandering Star, Glory Box and Roads

Archive - Dark Room, Londinium

Lovage - Book Of The Month

Kruder & Dorfmeister - The Sessions CD 1 and 2

Sneaker Pimps - Six Underground

Massive Attack - Eurochild

Also try the Zen Connection CD's. It's a mix of ambiental/world artists. Excellent music. Try Armik - Lost In Paradise CD. Relaxing flamenco. Try Hallucinogen - Twisted if you like trance. And also try to get into dub.
