"he stayed up that night and recorded 14 songs and mailed them to me the next day. "
From Plan-It-X
Reading that gave new meaning to the songs I heard of him on the Ghost Mice split. Right after I read that I downloaded his self titled.
Simply Amazing.
I highly suggest him to this forum and really anyone else on MX.
I have him on Soulseek and his split with Ghost Mice.

Adhamh Roland is also an amazing queer anarcho singer. I love her.

Totally looking that up.

I don't mean to double post in my own thread.
But uh Adhamh Roland, that folk singer, wasn't that cool.

I don't have the split, but from my soulseek searching, they cover each other.
Ghost Mice does:
Boys Like Me
Tabelcloth
Never Get to Know
Only Babies Cry
Baribeau does:
Good Life
Undone
Ghost Mice Says
Dead Flowers and Dirt

Yeah, man I really thought Paul did Never Get to Know; he sings it really well.
He's not very good.
I liked his album first listen through. Then I realized I didn't like his voice, and that's more or less the only interesting part of his music.

I've never listend to a band on Riot Folk and by what people are saying I don't think I want to.
Also, I think Ghost Mice guy has a somewhat anonying voice after awhile.

Ryan Harvey has a voice that can be related to Jello.

Nah, Paul sounds like a struggling artist.
Ryan sounds like a hippie.

Make up your own opinion, it's bound to be more valid than anyone else's here.
I don't know what annoys people in their voices. I think they are pretty damn awesome. Especially Adhamh Roland's live gigs, she sounds awesome. The kinda girl you could REALLY get to likin' one Saturday night.

One of the most refreshing singer-songwriters I've heard in a while. S/T and his new one Grander Ledge are absolutely amazing. Great vocals, great voice, great lyrics and good guitar playing. I'm seeing him with a few local acts it should be cool.

I did not know this thread existed but I'm glad it does. I saw him open for Captain Chaos in November or something and he completely f'ucking blew me away. Bought the CD and then later bought 25 and it sucked. Am excited for the new album though. I don't think it's out yet; can't find it anywhere if it is indeed out.

i like him. but when he actually tries to sing, it gets annoying. I love his guitar work on the S/T and from the 2 songs i herd off the new one i like.
Grand Ledge is 5 minutes from me.

Yes
Okay what the hell. This month he played in the town I will be living in, and in October he'll be playing in the town I do live in.
I guess it's not that big of a deal as I know very little of his music, but I bet he'd be nice to see.
