Its very very different.
I didn't know Muse released a new single. What's it called? What's it sound like?

It sounds NOTHING like Muse except for the fact it is Muse, if you get what I mean.
It's damn good too :D.

Is it available for a listen online?
It's been leaked, there are a few links knocking around, I think it's horrible, but check it out yourselves you might like it.
Anyone feel like hooking me up with this? I've forgotten all the old Muse fansites that would probably have it up

They've taken it down apparently
Somebody care to upload for Mailing List?
Thanks. But as a word of advice, thats kinda illegal on the boards, you might want to take down the link in case you get banned or something. I'll include it in the mailing List.
Edit: This song rocks, and heres me thinking the new album would be really poor. I hated the last album, but it's nice to see they are progressing now.

Wow I wouldn't guess that was Muse if I just heard it on the radio. It's different, but I like it. It always nice to hear a band come out with different sounding material.

Yeah, sorry.
I like it a lot, it is reminicent of their first album Showbiz. It certainly doesn't grab you as much as their usual singles, like "Stockholm Syndrome" and "New Born", but maybe that's a good thing. I'm very curious to hear the rest of the album now.
And from what I've heard, the link from Muse Live was a rip from the radio, so it isn't technical illegal. But I have my rip from the promo CD, so I won't post that out of respect.

It's amazing, i've already said a million times.
:D
I've sent it to all my Musey friends, and they all like it too, apart from one of them. The majority loves the new change, but the more 'hardcore' Muse fan seems to dislike it on the forum. "oh noesss, Muse are pop now" well, they've pretty much been pop forever, just better and more diverse than 95% of the mainstream market.
OK, I just heard it. It's pretty good and very catchy. I think I like Muse more every time I hear them. I guess I just have to suck it up and start buying albums.

I dont like muse much but the song is pretty cool
The intro reminds me of the 5:15ers (Homme + Goss's techno stoner side project ;))
But I wasnt super fussed on much of the rest

...just got a chance to listne to it...i think the song will grow on me. I dont know...it doesnt sound like your "typical muse"...AND!...does anyone think this song is reminiscent of Radiohead's "Idioteque" on Kid A...or am i just going crazy???
I am really interested in seeing what the rest of the album is going to sound like...
Nothing like Idioteque. I like the new Muse song, but they havn't reached Radiohead levels of goodness yet.

It's ****ing death-disco stylee, reminds me everytime of the disco scenes in The Matrix.
You could play it in some seedy/sleazy brothels and it would be amazing .

This is the perfect song to play at clubs. I think that's exactly what Muse wanted, Bellamy said in an interview he'd love to dance to his own song in a club one day.

Just listened to the single (downloaded from mailout). Its different to their other stuff, but I like it. It picks up pretty well from about 2 minutes in. I kept waiting for it to build up but it didn't really do that too much. Still, can't wait for the new album.

It sounds like a real try hard attempt at catchiness; and in some absurd way losess all the catchiness that other songs of theirs, such as Time is Running Out, had.
And the drums sound like ****e.

Just bought the single. I could never have predicted that. First the cheesy drums kicked in and I let out a small chuckle, then the vocals came in and I started laughing, then the backing vocals came in and I was pissing myself. I don't really like the song, though it will probably grow on me.

I hate this song. The production is horrible, the drums are unimaginative and the song doesnt really go anywhere. Aside from my opinion, its great to see a band trying new things and developing their sound. While I dont like it, it could open the band up to a whole new audience
