Hello fellow MXers. Recently I purchased a fabulous Yamaha Stage Custom 12" Snare Drum with stock heads. It sounded all right, until my guitarist broke it. So I need recommendations for a new snare head and/or snare reso.

Thanks in advance. :-)

coated 12" ambs are great

get your guitarist to pay for it though
if hes loaded say they arent replaceable and make him buy you another snare

my first recommendation would be to cut your guitarists strings...
then I'd get some Remo Coated Ambs on top and Remo Clear Amb on the reso side. That's always been the best combination of heads.

break your guitarists fingers, then say hes out of the band because he cant play anymore. you win.
