Ugh that's what happened on my Art History test. The study guide was so misleading.

I need to get B's on the next 2 tests to bring that grade up to something good, right now it's a D. Every other class I have anywhere from a B- to a very high A. Assuming I'm not an idiot for the rest of Art History, I should get a GPA of about a 3.35.

Next semester's schedule is looking pretty okay. A stupid geography class, educational psychology, teaching observation hours, alternative voices in American literature, western history I, calc, and silly 1 credit concert band.

I don't schedule until April 10th though, so I can't say for sure I'll get into any of these. I have alternatives set up and macroeconomics set up as a back-up to any class without a direct alternative.

I should probably meet with my adviser, but last semester I didn't talk about scheduling with her and she said my current schedule was just fine.

To be honest,, not necessarily anchorage, but the Kenai Peninsula in general. Maybe southeast Alaska, Ketchikan, Juneau, Petersburg. I just wanna fish, and try to live off the land, something I haven't been able to do since I went backpacking last fall. The possibility of getting a job on a fishing boat intrigues me. The climate of the panhandle sounds awesome.

The climate for the Southeast is akin to a "colder" version of Seattle. I'd say if you're definitely an outdoorsy type of person Alaska is awesome. There's so much **** to do with kayaking, backpacking, camping, fishing, hunting, skiing/snowboarding.

Cool, salmon fishing is what I'm interested in. I'm leaving for Seattle at the end of the month, and if I'm feeling up to it when I get there, I'll get transport to Ketchikan and look for work up the coast. I'm an experienced fisherman and survival outdoorsman (though i've stayed within the Rocky's and the high desert all my life), and I've been considering a move for a long time.

And about the pilots liscence: F*cking awesome. I've wanted to be a bush pilot since I was a kid.

The 'fast pace' of cities isn't what bothers me. Working on a fishing boat and living in a small town would have a faster pace than being a janitor in New York City, I think. What bothers me is the proximity to people. I live in a town of 80,000 and it's too much for me.

So did I. But a bush pilot in Alaska makes roughly $42-60k a year. It is also an extremely expensive journey to become a Pilot-In-Command. It amounts to roughly $110,000, which is the equivalent to going through 4 years at a University and a Med School. So I decided since I enjoy psychology, why not try and get into psychiatry. If I do manage to make it past through med school, I can afford flying around the skies in my own plane and fly for leisure. Of course, that won't happen until I would be 36.

As far as big cities go, Seattle seems like one I'd like (relatively speaking), and it does have a reputation for everything I love (coffee, anyone?), but it's still a big city. I've never been there though, so lets see when I get there.
