Basically, I spent the entire class period in the library putting books away and placing orders maybe like once or twice a month. Senator John McCain's decision to suspend his campaign and participation in the first presidential debate is pure and simple showboating. The Washington DC bailout by Bush and his Congressional allies of the Wall Street crooks and speculators is not dependent on Senator McCain's return to Washington.

He has been an advocate of the deregulation that caused this debacle and offers nothing significant to address it. However, tens of millions of Americans depended on Senator McCain to show up at Friday's debate in Old Mississippi.

They expected him to do so and have arranged their plans to watch him interact with Barack Obama. By turning his back on at least 50 million American voters anticipating Friday's debate, he has dishonored his commitment and undermined the respect which he hoped the American people would accord him during his presidential campaign.

I urge him to restore his honor and self-respect by ending this political stunt and maturely fulfilling his commitment on the presidential debate stage this Friday.

Should he choose to maintain his present, impulsive course and leave an empty chair on the stage, I would be most pleased to take his place as the number three Presidential candidate in the race.

Nader is a cool guy and doesn't afraid of anything.

The point is, this is an important issue that needs resolved quickly, and they both have a duty to represent thier states in Congress on such a monumental matter. If they weren't needed, Illinios and Arizona wouldn't have spots in Congress...they'de be without representation.

It's as simple as that, no matter how you want to twist it. And I hold both candidates to the same standard there, so whatever.

McCain has missed 64.1% of the vote in Congress this year. By far the largest margin of missed votes.Now compare both to Ted Kennedy, who is currently dealing with cancer, who only missed 17.9% of the vote.

No, Obama isn't a saint on this, but McCain has by far missed the most votes out of anyone in the senate. The only person closest to him is Tim Johnson of South Dakota who missed 48.4% of the vote, and he suffered a brain hemorrhage. Obama comes after Tim.

They are not in an equal light on this. Don't even try.
