McCain is a great man and a principled leader. Come on, would you rather have Hillary Clinton president than him?

"bomb bomb bomb

bomb bomb iran" - John McCain

Genuine quote.

I don't mind him, for a republican, but his stance on foreign policy is just too aggressive. It's really the exact opposite of what america needs right now.

No, I don't like clinton. At all. But she's not really got enough policy for me to say what I hate anyway. If she wins i just hope she has the sense to not do anything drastic, and especially not to go on a new legislation binge.

And folks, in regards to McCain's hundred years comment, we have had troops in Japan for 60 years. Does anyone care? No. Don't make something out of nothing
with the great principles of our nation, troops in other countries shouldnt be needed to maintain good foreign relations, but I guess by not following the great principles our nation was founded on for the past few decades, troops ARE needed to maintain relations, or *cough* demand them

Presidential office isn't about who deserves it, it's about who the country deserves.

Yes, and the country doesn't deserve ruthless, amoral leaders. You don't seem to understand that being a president isn't just about the legislation you sign (by the way, she opposes raising the payroll tax, will do little to stop global warming, and many of her policies will be a reflectin of do-nothing politicking), but how you lead. It's about your image. Hillary's conduct is unbecoming a leader. The president is the leader of the free world and the face of America, and that face should not be a ruthless and conniving, Machiavellian person.

But there is also a chance that he is just an idiot. Politicians aren't the most intelligent people in the world. I think that should be obvious. They are just professionals at talking about things they really have no knowledge of or don't care about. Thats what they are good at. That is the definition of ignorance, the opposite of wisdom.

I don't think we have to worry about this woman being politically
correct!!!

This woman should run for president. Written by a housewife from New
Jersey and sounds like it! This is one ticked off lady.

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not
started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11,
2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally
murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our
nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible,
burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when
an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?...Well, I don't.
I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for
incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start
caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in
Saudi Arabia. I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry
for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his
gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and
fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in
mosques. I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in
search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their
suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First
Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead
of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an
Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have
been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest
assured: I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not
to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank:
I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat,
and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is
complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely
believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and
other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't
care!!
If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail
friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this
ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you
choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities
committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I
add:

"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a
difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem." --
Ronald Reagan

I have another quote that I would like to add AND.......I hope you
forward all this.

"If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a
nation gone under." Also by.. Ronald Reagan

One last thought for the day:

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the Anti-American
sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister
Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his
Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said: "A
simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want
in... And how many want out."

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Isn't the Clinton strategy to make South Carolina a Pyrrhic victory for Obama, because the black voter support he got (around 80%+ or so I heard) transforms him into the 'black candidate', rather than one with broad base appeal?

Yeah, though the amount that Obama won by exceeded anyone's expectations, and in the process, Obama did better amongst white voters than people thought he would, so that strategy probably won't work.

Obama didn't win in Iowa because of, or in spite of, his race. For younger Americans, race isn't a factor. Obama isn't running as an identity candidate, like Jesse Jackson did. Hillary, on the other hand is increasingly running as the woman candidate...while relying on her husband to rough up the competition.

Properly define fascist.

"Fascism may be defined as a form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation, or victim-hood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy, and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion."

you can measure it and everything the sunspots move across the surface

anyway the problem is the sun was actually pretty much spherical

[The dignity of the human species] will be completely destroyed . I use what I call the bathroom metaphor: if two people live in an apartment and there are two bathrooms, then both have freedom of the bathroom. You can go to the bathroom anytime you want to stay as long as you like for whatever you need. But if you have twenty people in the apartment and two bathrooms, no matter how much every person believes in freedom of the bathroom, there is no such thing. You have to set up times for each person; you have to bang on the door, “Aren’t you done yet?” In the same way, democracy cannot survive overpopulation. Human dignity cannot survive. Convenience and decency can’t survive. As you put more and more people onto the world, the value of life not only declines, it disappears. It doesn’t matter if someone dies, the more people there are, the less one person matters. - [I]Asimov

It doesn't really matter which you read; it's all pretty consistently good, although everyone should read at least the main trilogy of the foundation books.

Sen. John McCain told a crowd of supporters on Sunday, “It’s a tough war we’re in. It’s not going to be over right away. There’s going to be other wars.” Offering more of his increasingly bleak “straight talk,” he repeated the claim: “I’m sorry to tell you, there’s going to be other wars. We will never surrender but there will be other wars.”

What do you guys think? Should we give him the benefit of the doubt? Maybe he is just being realistic, because there will always be war. I dunno, he sounds a bit hawkish.

All of them want to end the war. By winning. Hillary Clinton on the other hand wants to cut and run, which is dishonorable.

I thought enough people had died in the last 2-3 thousand years over something as intangible as "dishonour"

Guys, we have to uphold the honor and traditions of our great Christian nation.

It's dangerous to criticize the president in time of war.

All you're doing is making the situation worse.

Actually the situation has improved markedly in the past few months.

Time to face the fact that brute force won't solve Iraq's problems.

Oh yeah I forgot running away like cowards will

Natural world sciences are bunk. I just can't keep up... all the protons and ELECTRONS bouncing into and out of each other like they want to fornicate. Did you know that inside the sun's core, there are protons that bond to each other? Whacky!

Doesn't matter. Ultimately Iraq won't be solved by military force.

Stability, produced by successful use of force, leads to political solutions.

Dammit, this isn't about some stupid quixotic notion of honour. People are dying.

Yeah and fighting to surrender encourages the enemy.

Yeah and fighting to surrender encourages the enemy. As if there's a single, well-defined, cohesive enemy.

The mere presence of US troops encourages "the enemy."

Yeah and fighting to surrender encourages the enemy.

You'd be encouraged too if an enemy was in your backyard. Can you blame them?

the proton-neutron interaction is critical. also, electrons don't bounce into protons.
