I'm not sure how I am going to feel when my grandparents die. In the past ten years I've only seen my mother's mother (she lives with us) and my mother's father but that was only for like three days. My other grandparents have never really been around mostly because I didn't want to be around them.

My grandparents didn't talk much about religion but I think I would have preferred that to all the **** I got about Africa. Their house was decorated with a lot of African things and they had books on the continent and famous blacks, and all that stuff. My freshman year of college, someone said I sounded like I was from Yugoslavia. I've got a slight Maryland/Philly accent, but nothing Eastern European. Though the cute (as opposed to the two Uggo ones) Polish chick in my Polish class says I speak Polish with a Russian accent which amuses me.
