I actually had a pretty developed idea set in the Arctic, in one of those bases populated by scientists. It'd be pretty cool. Setting goes a long way in horror. The isolated oil rig would be a good place to start, too.

Depends what you do with the creature. If you can come up with something original for it, back story or habits or motivation or whatever, then you'll be in safe territory. Oh and get on AIM, I want to pitch you my arctic story :p

A. I think that a lot of women are way too emotional. Being a pastor is a huge responsibility, and most women aren't really emotionally capable of handling it.
B. Women can be mouthy. The pastor that we had at our church (the woman) was nothing but. She was just nasty to people. For example, a young couple in our church (that the woman despised) got pregnant out of marriage. The woman pastor told them if they didn't get married before the baby was born, if something happened to them, they would go to hell if they died. I don't know of a male pastor out there who would take personal feelings and use them to be that mean.
C. I think that a lot of times, women can become power-hungry moreso than men. Obviously this leads to some bad situations for many churches."

LONG STORY. My professor made it *mandatory* for at least 50 sources. Then I found some other sources I liked and before I knew it I was knee deep in citations. :^[

Not a basic ten page paper but depending on your field, in upper level courses you may be expected to get 30 pages, which would entail at least 30 citations. For an honors thesis, you'd be looking at 50-70.

Well I'm going to this community college for another year, in order to get all the smaller classes I need for my major out of the way for cheap. It's actually one of the best community colleges in NY state, and its very nice, its just that I have very bad luck with professors.
My favorite professor was this uber butch lesbian who taught my psyche class. She had a tattoo of a dagger on her left forearm and talked about metaphysics more than psychology, but damn it, she was interesting. :p

Hahaha for one of the best CC's in New York, it sure sounds sucky. My history professor lectured w/o notes most of the time and his tests were straightforward essay exams.
