Thanks guys. If you look out the window on the first pic you can tell its full sunlight. I have no idea why it came out dark.

ofDooM
05-05-2006, 12:41 PM
awsome. it could possibly be the camera that makes it so dark. mine does that, and with the flash, it blurrs it and blinds you. sad story...

Drum Phil
05-05-2006, 12:42 PM
Yeah thats probably it. I'll try take some without the flash and use a tripod.

Might be wrong, but is that Stagg crash new? And btw how do you like the Staggs, I have a store near by that stocks em. Just wanna know what their Zildjian or Sabian equivalent so I can try them out.

Nice Rack:naughty:

(couldn't help it)

Ah man, excellent choice. IMO the Icon is of the better racks out there. Great setup too, I'd like to have that many cool pedals, haha.

Thanks man :) Im a bit apprehensive about placing large amounts of expensive gear on a round tube. Call it paranoia but i'd rather have the peace of mind the ICON gives me.

Nah the staggs like the 3rd oldest cymbal on there. I wouldnt reccomend SH crashes. DH/Myra are nice. DH Splashes (both of mine are DH) are the only splashes ive ever really liked all that much. SH Chinas roar. Not sure on rides or hats.

The Pearl remote hihat pedal is absolute fab, can't remeber why you had it again  problems with positioning?

That's what I want next, cowbell on floor with a plastic/wood beater!

Drum Phil
05-05-2006, 03:00 PM
Cause i prefer my main hats on the right.

I would advise against a plastic beater for a cowbell. They tend to dent the cowbell.

Oh man I love your pedals and beaters. Is it common to play a tamborine with a pedal? And do you play with socks?

Yeah same. Fine tuning everything takes forever. But once you get it right. takes 15 mins to packdown and pack up :) Aslong as you leave markings you'll be alright.

I decided against it. I have 3 crashes left on my list though. 18" HHX Power, 19" K Custom hybrid and 20" 2002 thin crash

u changed the angle on ur china?

Nah its been like that months

how much was that rack?

£270 with extra clamps

I always loved the felt beaters. Im not sure if its normal but i didnt like it on a stand so i jus tried it pedal mounted.

Few memory locks and its good to go i reckon :D

Oh man that's sweet. That really really is. Loving the rack, the foot percussion (the tambarine just says O Baterista to me) and the splash/bell stack!
I can see why you'd get a bit paranoid with circular racks, but after using one I can say for sure that there's no way the clamps would ever slip. But hey each to their own.
Looks fantastic as always!
