I heard the new Dirty Pretty Things album on www.nme.com and i think its quality. The songs are like the libs but rocked up a bit.
I definately think they are better than Babyshambles

The single was awful, and so are a couple of other tracks my flatmates keep playing, though those are probably bootlegs or b-sides, so I won't judge just yet.

As much as I'm known as a Doherty hater here, the Babyshambles album wasn't that bad. And I still love "For Lovers". So I'm slowly coming around to the idea that Barat was actually responsible for everything that was so bad about the Libs.

I'm probably gonna check this one out, The Libertines were a big part of my life for a while so I don't like to turn my back on that completely. I think the single was ok, but it gets really repetitive after a few listens.

I wanted Carl to do something a bit more interesting musically, he was always the better musician, so why can't he take this chance to express himself? Although Barats lyrics aren't too bad, without that touch of lyrical class from Doherty, I think the band will struggle.

yeah they do, just go on www.myspace.com and search for dirty pretty things, theres a few of them. Or you can listen to the whole album at www.nme.com

i got it earlier (special edition with live DVD) and i think it's right good. Like didz's voice on the song Enemy which is one of my fave songs on there. real good. good to see carl making a go of things and making a top album.
