I haven't seen any posts about this awesome news. Any other down fans on the R&M Forums? I'm totally stoked to see phil anselmo back with the band again (especially since imo down > superjoint) and rex on bass. After all the things the guy had said about the band I was sad and thought they'd never tour again.

SO WRONG.

They're on a european tour this summer and my lucky friend kalle gets to go see them on (06/06/06..[2006 i know but still cool n'est past]) and I'm pretty much mega jealous. They've also got a dvd in the works but what I'm totally stoked for is the possibility of a DOWN III!!!

Actually, I heard that they're working on the tracks for the next Down album. And I'm pretty happy about that, Down is one of the pure metal bands I can tolerate (in fact, I love them).

I'm Shocked that Phils alive still. I heard rumor that he got back into some of his old adictions and stuff. Glad to hear he's still functioning. Everything he seems to touch works very very well. Is Rex still Playing bass for them?

Oh yes, he sure is. I am mega happy about this. Can't wait for them to come to canada imo

Anything to take Phil's mind off of Superjoint Ritual, is good.

I like Down, though. I don't have either of their CD's, but my friends do and I've listened to them quite a bit. My band also does a cover of "Stone the Crows."

Hell yeah. I'm excited to hear a new album, dammit, but I don't live in Europe so I kinda lose :(
