Deicide has to be the most blasphemious death metal band ever. What are you opinions on that?

Favorite Songs
Blame it on God
Scars of the Crucifix
Go Now, Your Lord Is Dead
Fukk Your God

Interesting Fact: GLEN BENTON IS A DOUSCHE WHEN IT COMES TO MEETING DEICIDE FANS!!! That's what my friend told me.

Crappy thread title, but a pretty good band.

The first album is one of my very favourites. Legion and Scars Of The Crucifix are good too.

I don't really like deicide that much anymore. I heard a quote Glen Benton (I think that's his name) "If you have a problem with oranized religion, fight it with intelligence and words" So intelligence is cutting an inverted cross on your forehead?

I have Scars of The Crucifix. It's an okay allbum, I just don't dig the vocals that much.

he hates religion that much. he said that he hates anyone who believe in god

That's why I find him an Idiot. You can't put labels on things like that. But whatever, we've been told not to let our religious thoughts deraile any of these types of threads, or discussions.

A lot of it is dealing with shock value. If he's saying that he wants to discuss his feeling with intelligence and words, then why is he writing about the murdering of Christians.

You can discuss your beliefs without saying you're gonna murder tons of people just because they don't agree with you. This guy is running his beliefs like dumbass-tyrant. Fine, be anti-christian, that's cool, it brings more questions in this world. But you can be smart and still be anti-christian.

im not anti-christian. im just an atheist

Video of when Glen was in a band called Amon.

 I'm loving the catcher's gear with spikes and foil.

The video would be a whole lot better if it didnt sound like an industrial fan with people banging their feet loudly.

Amon = Deicide.

They changed name just before they released Deicide.

For those interested in Amon, you can get their demos in a compilation called Amon: Feasting The Beast. They're quite good, especially the first demo. The second one pretty much sounds like the self-titled with slightly worse production.

I think they were released by Roadrunner, so they shouldn't be too hard to find, I just downloaded them.

I like Deicide but they get boring after a while.

My take on Deicide is that the first album is awesome, and every album afterwards gets progressively worse.. with the exception of Scars which is decent. I stress that S/T is amazing.

Supposedly Amon is supposed to really ruin some **** but I haven't heard it yet.

The self-titled and Legion are good, I'm not much of a fan of the other stuff.
