In 1965, former model Marc Bolan started playing music professionally, and ended up in a folk-rock group called Tyrannosauraus Rex.

Before long, however, the group evolved into a trashy glam rock group, and along with David Bowie, practically kicked off the glam rock craze of the '70s.

While not very successful on the charts (Bang A Gong was their only big hit), the band sort of faded in away around 1973, while still keeping a sort of cult following. Marc Bolan was killed in a car crash in 1977, a few weeks short of his 30th birthday.

While they not have been huge chart successes, their legacy still lives on today. Their music has been accused of being disposable, but I still think Electric Warrior is one of the strongest albums of the '70s.

All I have is Electric Warrior, and I've been looking for The Slider. But, few record stores even carry T. Rex around here. Still, Electric Warrior is one of the dirtiest and crunchiest albums ever.

Not a big fan, but the lyrics are actually really good, awesome usage of imagery.

I've got their S/T I need to borrow (steal) electric warrior from my dad sometime.

Awesome band, I really like songs like "The Time Of Love Is Now" and "The Wizard" sometimes they remind me of the velvet underground because their music seems to have a sort of drone quality to me.

got electric warrior for christmas and its amazing i dont think theres a song on it that i dont like its definatly one of my favorite cds i own. it also has some great cover art
