What oil and waxes would you suggest I use on my Rosewood neck?

While cleaning my ibanez I seemed to rub the oil or wax off so it is now the bare wood on the fingerboard.

help.

Most people suggest lemon or coconut oil. Works well and makes it smell good too. :)

I've heard from a few people though that you shouldn't apply it more than a few times in a year tops, something about too much moisture entering the wood.

What I do is get some Q-tips, dab them in some lemon oil, and spread/clean my fretboard with it, and if it gets on the frets it's ok, just try not to get it under the frets. After that I let it sit for about 15 - 30 mins, and then wipe off the excess with a non-abrasive rag. After that, I let it sit for a few more mins and polish it a bit. Good as new. :)

I find Burmese Teak oil to also be very effective.

On this side it comes in 2 variants: For Dark Wood & For Light Wood

So you can cover the ebony and rosewood side as well as the maple.

i find lemon oil good, if the bass is really gunked up you can spray it on and leave it for 5 min then come back an wipe it, cuts thru the grime
