I have a Jackson KB1 Professional (I think that's what it is). It sounds pretty good. The pickups aren't very high output, but the tone is alright. It's not super bassy, but you can solo the P pickup and the tone will beef up a bit. To me, the major selling point of the bass is the neck. It's really fast and thin, probably like a GSR, I'd imagine. Only bad thing is the neck dives horribly. I've thought about weighing down the body at bottom strap button, but then I get distracted and wander off.

In conclusion...good basses, but play before you buy.

my Bass teacher playes a j/p mix Jackson bass (only because thats what the place supplies him with) and the tone is decent but they give him it to play because the intonation is beyond repair(litterally) but there pretty good sounding basses.... would i go with one?... I dont think anytime soon. I'd rather stick to fender then go to jackson.

I have only played a jackson bass once. I'm not sure what model it was, but it sounded alright. Not very good, but not bad in any way. I have a jackson guitar and I would definetaly say that their guitars are better then their basses

i own a jackson concert 5-string and havnt had many problems with at all... its not the most "bassy" bass around but the active duncans in it when set right help to increase its depth if thats what you after and its tone is pretty nice, to me anyway, it all depends on the style of music you want to play... i have known the concert to be critisised but what faults it does have are minor and most can be smoothed over with a decent eq mix...
