View Full Version : show went good.... i guess
ok my bands first show was about 3 hours ago, it went ok.
the setlist was: The Trooper, Fun House (original), For whom the bell tolls, Guitar solo, When Eternity Ends (Original), Walk In The Park (original), and Master of puppets.
We played fine, but the crowd was completely dead, they did basically nothing.
I got to slap the MoP Intro, and thats about it.
Overall i guess it was ok, just wish the crowd was better.
The guitarist's mom filmed the whole thing so i'll see if i can post a video or something later.

I've played with so many bands that are musically amazing but just have no crowd movement. And it would totally be about how you performed it.
If you stood still but nailed EVERY note, then the purists would love it, but the average person wouldn't care. Vice versa works, if you move and groove but have humanistic screw ups then you're more then likely to get a reaction.
Oh and not playing metallica helps too. Every cover band ever in the last 15 years have covered them.
from what i can remeber, i was pretty energetic for the size of stage we had, it was like 10 ft by 8 ft :( and im pretty sure not every cover band has covered metalica :thumb:

that's my biggest fear, doing a gig and have a lifeless crowd just staring at you.

I've have a few lifeless crowds before, at the beginning of our shows but by the end of the 2nd set with the alcohol flowing we could playing anything and people will go crazy.
Gotta love Pub gigs
