I can not believe it...! I can't believe it!! Scott Weiland is now the Velvet Revolver vocalist!? They look and sound nothing alike I never even knew and its not as if Velvet Revolver are new. I've loved STP for a while now and was reading up on them on Wikipedia and found out that he is actually the Velvet Revolver singer. I've known (not really liked) velvet revolver for long enough as well and had no idea, i cant believe it.

Yeah I suppose but I like STP much better. He acts and seems so much different now as well. I really can not get over this piece of shocking info!:D

I like Scott with them, I saw revolver live back in May and he was great.

He does have quite a good voice (which was better in STP IMO) but still good in VR.

He still looks like an emaciated junkie with an amazingly deep voice. Welcome to over three years ago, a.k.a. the final nail in Guns N' Roses's coffin.

His voice sounds the same in general, he's the same ****ing person; All that's different is the style. Listening to a lot of STP stuff makes me think that Scott is always slightly varying his voice, even within an album. Take Core, Scotts voice in Creep (sounds like kurt cobain) sounds quite different to Plush (Sounds like Ed Vedder). So Scott is quite flexible with his voice, and because he's now playing in a heavier sounding band, he was bound to change his vocal style.

p.s Once again, he looks the same as he always has, just with a shaved head. Then again, drugs do funny things to peoples appearance.

Stop saying "welcome to blah blah blah" That means nothing to me. He doesnt look the same at all and sounds completely different, like I just said

His voice sounds the same to me . and I can't believe you didn't know that. no offense.
It's like liking Audioslave, but not knowing the singer was the lead singer of Soundgarden.

Scotts voice has always sounded varied to me, but the tone of the bands is different, so he sings in a different style, STP was alot more self pittying in with the grungish idea i suppose, where as VR is glits glam and excess, or sex drugs and rock n' roll, however you want to say it.

I can not believe it...I can't believe it! John Lennon is dead....

Yep i shot him :)

I think Scott was always more comfortable with the kind of up-tempo rockers and poncey ballads VR play. He often sounded like he didn't know what to do with all the space he had as STP's singer.

Dude leave him alone. He never did anything to you. Usually you're pretty cool. But right now you're coming off as an elitist jerk.

Have you heard Velvet Revolver try to cover Negative Creep by Nirvana? it made me cringe

Thats because the orginal sucked bad any way and its not proper to upstage the orginal.

The only STP album I really like Scott in is No. 4 the rest he is nothing special. Better then VR though. Supergroups always blow.

the only change he got is the way he acts on stage.... now he dances like a gay worm:p ...

Scott did completely change his vocal style, but that was on No. 4 by STP, which is also when he started doing his worm dance...thing. So he was like this in STP, F.Y.I.

And for the record, Weiland should stop doing the whole worm thing.

Thanks man. I didnt do anything wrong... But anyway moving on..

Im glad some people see what i'm on about... he may not be like a completely different person but he does seem quite different because of some vocal changes and appearance and the way he acts (this whole worm thing). And the reason i didnt even know is because I dont like VR so why would I know about them.

The worm thing is cool, haha. He did that before VR.

Velvet Revolver sounds amazing. I saw them live last May at they were awesome. There one of the few mainstream real rock bands out there now. I think Scott and the GNR guys make an excellent band. Did you really not know that they got together like two years ago?

I loved seeing VR live, I got Duff's pick.. I don't know why I'm still so happy about a pick.

Dean and Robert DeLeo are in Army of Anyone now.
