A much different piece to what I'm comfortable doing, for this text- I tried to convey as much emotion as possibly with as little words as I could. So here it is:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Record the Lullabies
Record the lullabies-
For a good night sleep,
Prepared, for if,
I don’t return,
This tape will sing
You peace.
I am not
afraid for myself,
My path is clear-
Clean cut,
Protected on my way-
By melodies,
And memories,
Among other things,
That bring me tears.
Fear not for my sake,
I’ll walk my way.
This life is not made to be paradise;
I’ll walk my way.
This flame consumes more,
Than it creates;
But I am aware that,
There’s no excuse.
Actions not fit,
For human eyes-
My path is terrible,
Regrettable,
If regret I still felt.
But I’ve grown like stone,
My path is clear.
Fear not for my sake,
I’ll walk my way.
This life is not made to be paradise;
I’ll walk my way.
Close your eyes child,
Block your ears and don’t move,
The things I do,
They are nothing to be proud of.
If there was another,
I’d gladly turn back-
But my heart is stone now,
I’ll walk my way.
