Vaults and A customs or way overated. The crash decay sounds really clangy/dissonant/annoying/hummy

That's because you like the warm, washy tones of hand hammered cymbals. You said so yourself.
A Customs and Vaults are both nice series of cymbals.
The Vault crashes are medium thin I'm pretty sure. I know Sabian rates them as thin, but I don't think they're that thin.

just lathed a bit differently. i happen to like the vault hats and a custom crashes :)

well since its cheaper they cant afford the little slash that makes it into an A :p
