So my copy and paste won't work on my computer. And I, being not that great at computers and such, have no idea how to fix it. Where did I go wrong?

Does it not work across any programs? Or just a few?

Doesn't work at all. No matter whether I use hot keys, right click for copy and paste, or highlight and then click edit and so forth.

start, run, type "services.msc"
make sure the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service is started
then:
start, run, type "%systemroot%\system32\com\comexp.msc"
expand Component Services and click it
expand Computers
right click My Computer
click Properties
click Default Properties tab
the window should look like this:
http://i3.tinypic.com/w2dfye.jpg
then restart
if that doesn't fix it, then you probably have a virus or malware and/or your system files are corrupt

Check your keyboard buttons and make sure it doesn't have special buttons that change stuff. I was wondering why my F buttons didn't work until I saw that the alt. F key was on.

Whoa, this happened to me a few weeks ago.
I dunno what I did. I think I just restarted and it worked again.
I'm afraid I can't help, as if that had not worked, I would've mashed the key board a few times, and tossed the mouse up letting it fall on the carpet, stood up, gotten a drink, paced the room for a minute, restarted, and repeat as needed.
