Does anyone here use IRC, what are good servers and channels for just chat like MX. Ive just got mIRC and have figured out basics, but loads of servers are full but theres no discussion

EFNet works well, as does Wondernet

I only actually use IRC to download stuff mainly.

i thought it was only a chat client, so there are special servers to download things as well, like a sort of limewire?

yeah, but like, how if ye're talking to someone on mIRC, and they can send you something, like that, except a server and ye type /find whatever

and it'll open a new window with search results for whatever, and i forget the main working of it, as i never use mIRC for downloading, but yeah, i'm probly wrong

I have always used it for downloading and I get most of my stuff there. There are a few chans I idle and talk in sometimes.

Those are the only ones I really use. I used to visit #absolutepunk, but that doesn't really update as well as it used to

yup that's what I used to go to. then it moved to wondernet. then it moved to it's own server and it's dead again it seems. and ive been using emo and abandonship these days. there used to be so many more though. also i used to idle blinkrebels and bn and stuff. what is your nick on there?

#brandnew sucked so bad haha. Their own releases were horrible, it was always webrips and stuff. Either way, bn merged with thescene, and then that renamed to abandonship.

I usually use Kif on IRC, although I don't idle on there. I just get in, get my **** and then leave. Unless I get in a discussion.

#thechannel was good and everyone wasn't assholes but it died. everyone in ap have always been gay so i dont talk to anyone much.
