Ok, I'm not a complete noob on this, but I need some help as far as decisions go. I'm using all software instruments and sequencers, but I do have a MIDI keyboard. What's the most powerful and easy way to start composing and getting my ideas out. I've played around with FL studio and stuff, and I've gotten pretty good at it, but almost everywhere I look no one takes it seriously. To me, it's so much less confusing than Cubase (which is insanely confusing!). I've also heard stuff about rewire, and rewiring that to cubase to get more instruments etc...
so basically what I'm asking is what should I go with, something that's not confusing and takes 2 months to learn, for a sequencer/mixer. Can any of the programs run multiple time signatures at once? I do have a pretty powerful windows PC and would like to do all my stuff in software as I don't have enough money for other hardware components. All software instruments and effects, etc. I've talked to people and they say Ableton 5 is good for that with nice effects, but there's a ton of other options.
Once again, I just want the best setup for making electronic music
