Gig Question

I've been playing in a band for about 3 months now, and Saturday, we have our second show. We have our set list all figured out except for one song. For our first gig, we covered the song I Wanna Be Your Dog by The Stooges, and we are hoping to cover it again. And since I only post in the bass forum, and wasn't sure where else I could ask this question, I was wondering what your thoughts were on playing the same cover in two consecutive shows.

It shouldn't make much difference just as long as your stage show isn't exactly the same. Mix things up a bit and play stuff in a different order, do something different with the audience.

The crowd is hardly likely to be of all the same people anyway, so noone will notice, and many bands have certain covers they do all the time.

Ok good, me and my guitarist have been arguing about this with my drummer for days. Glad to know we were right.
