I've tried the crybaby and the DBW...and I preferred the DBW by leaps and bounds.

another question, does anyone happen to know if the snarling dogs pedal is a "no switch" wah, meaning you can just rock it and it automatically comes on, or is it one of those where you have to press really hard for it to activate?

Get a GCB-95 and replace one capacitator = bass wah.

The Crybaby Bass Wah is good, I use it more for funky/rock stuff, I haven't tried to use it in a metal context or anything like that.

It's cool because it doesn't have an on/off press. Lately I've been using it combined with other effects like distortion/synth/tremolo/delay, which opens it up a lot. Good fun.

A guitarist friend of mine has an Ibanez Weeping Demon wah pedal which I thought sounded really good, but I've never tried playing a bass through it. He gave it great reviews though and it does sound like a beast.

It'd be good if you could get a chance to try some out in a store :). Wah pedals can be kind of touchy and different people like different things in a wah.

dual bass wah, you don't have to switch that one on and for me i can get whatever kinda wah i want

but as probably suggested before, try some out first

well, sorry it took me so long to respond (computer troubles) but ive pretty much decided im gonna get the morley, the problem with trying them is none of the shops around me have any bass wahs, people really need to be more equal with guitar and bass.... but im gonna get the morley and if i dont like it ill return it and try the dunlop.... btw gaslight, both of the guitarists in my band want the weeping deamon wah, it sounds really good on guitar, but ive never had the chance to try it on bass.....

well i own a dunlop guitar cry baby i use on my bass and it sounds great. the white bass one is IMHO not worth the 50% more they charge.
